Summer Arts Camps
 
 
NEW!  FREE CITY ARTS CAMP for ALLENTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT 6TH, 7TH, & 8TH GRADERS! 
 
We want YOU for City Arts Camp!
 
WHO?: Rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in the Allentown School District
 
WHAT?: A fun, FREE summer arts camp with six arts partners from Allentown. The Baum School of Art, Community Music School, Repertory Dance Theatre, The Allentown Art Museum, Civic Theatre, and Miller Symphony Hall will help you with:
 
ART – draw, paint, sculpt and get creative!
DANCE – learn hip hop and modern dance moves!
MUSIC –play your favorite popular music while learning some instruments!
THEATER – act and perform on stage!
All in one week! Breakfast, lunch, and a snack included. Fridays are pizza days!
 
WHERE?: Community Music School
1544 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA 18102
 
WHEN?: Register for one of the four weeks of camp that take place from 9 am – 5 pm. Performance every Friday from 4-5 pm!
 
Week 1: July 9- July 13
Week 2: July 16- July 20
Week 3: July 23- July 27
Week 4: July 30 – August 3

For Ages 7-11 
Art.  Dance.  Music.  Theatre. 

In addition to offering private and group lessons throughout the summer,
CMS also partners with our fellow downtown Allentown non-profit arts organizations to offer the annual City Arts Camp for ages 7-11.
 
June 24-28, 2019
 
City Arts Camp is a collaboration of 6 established arts and cultural organizations in Allentown - The Allentown Art Museum, The Baum School of Art, Civic Theatre, Community Music School, Miller Symphony Hall, and Repertory Dance Theatre.  At the end of the week, the students hold an event on stage at Miller Symphony Hall featuring music and theatre performances, an art exhibit, and a reception to proudly showcase all they have learned to their families.  

  • Discover performance and music backstage at Symphony Hall
  • Paint, draw, and sculpt
  • Experience art, history, and culture in the Museum
  • Acting, story telling, and games
  • Learn to play the Flutophone, read musical notes, and play several songs
  • Learn new dance moves in ballet, jazz, modern, and hip hop 

Register by April 30 for a $15 discount. 

Please note: Students are to be droppoed off in the morning at the Community Music School and picked up in the afternoon at The Baum School of Art.
